Days 2–6 | 24-28.08 — Horseback Glacier Trek & Wilderness Camping | Deep Into Alaska
We depart for Palmer and enter Alaska’s wild backcountry on horseback, beginning a five-day expedition toward the majestic Knik Glacier.
Each day unfolds across varied terrain - mountain ridges, river valleys, glacial plains, and endless open landscapes. Expect trotting, cantering, and long scenic rides, wildlife encounters, and a deep sense of isolation from the modern world.
You will spend four nights in remote wilderness camps, completely off the grid, with evenings around the campfire and hearty, camp-cooked meals under open skies. A support vehicle accompanies the group with luggage and safety equipment.
The final night after riding is spent in a cozy mountain lodge with sauna, hot tub, and sweeping mountain views - a moment of comfort and reflection after days in the saddle.
All meals included
